Choosing an orthodontist is a big decision. After all, orthodontic treatment is a journey—and the people you choose to take that journey with can make all the difference.
At Orthodontic Specialists of Lake County (OSOLC), we believe exceptional orthodontic care goes far beyond straightening teeth. It’s about knowing our patients, listening to what matters to them, making treatment work for their lives, and being there when they need us.
Specialized Care for Your Smile
Did you know that every orthodontist is a dentist, but not every dentist is an orthodontist? After dental school, an orthodontist completes additional specialized education focused on tooth movement, bite alignment, and the growth and development of the teeth and jaws. At OSOLC, orthodontics isn’t simply one of the services we provide—it’s our specialty.
With decades of orthodontic-only experience, our doctors bring extensive knowledge to every treatment plan. They also continue to invest in education, training, and technology so our entire team can provide excellent, efficient care while working seamlessly together. Because when it comes to your smile, experience matters.
A Team That Knows You—Really Knows You
There’s something special about walking into an office and seeing familiar faces. Many OSOLC team members have been part of the practice for 20 years or more, with some serving our patients for decades. That kind of longevity creates an incredibly knowledgeable team, but it also creates something you can’t teach in a training manual: genuine connection.
We get to know our patients. We remember them. We listen to what’s happening in their lives. We celebrate milestones with them and look forward to seeing them at their next visit. Our team loves what they do, and we believe our patients can feel the difference. You’re not a number on the schedule at OSOLC. You’re someone we genuinely care about.
Going Above and Beyond Is Part of Our Culture
Lots of businesses talk about great customer service. At OSOLC, we believe the best service often happens before someone even has to ask.
It might mean coordinating with another dental office on your behalf. It could be looking into an insurance question before it becomes a headache, spending extra time helping you understand your treatment, or finding a way to make an appointment work with a packed family schedule. Our entire team feels responsible for your experience and takes pride in making things as easy as possible for you.
We’re fun and friendly, but we’re also professional, knowledgeable, and ready to help. When there’s an opportunity to make something easier, solve a problem, or do a little more for a patient, we take it.
That’s what Above and Beyond means to us.
Flexible Options—Including Financial Ones
Every patient is different, and that applies to finances, too.
We never want cost to be the reason someone assumes orthodontic treatment is out of reach. Our team works with families to create flexible payment options, including interest-free financing, low down payment options, and monthly payments designed to fit different budgets.
Starting at Age 7 Doesn’t Mean Starting Treatment at Age 7
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children receive their first orthodontic evaluation around age 7. But one of the most important things parents should know is that an early evaluation does not automatically mean early treatment.
Often, the best recommendation is simply to wait. That’s where our Future Smiles Club comes in. When a child isn’t ready for orthodontic treatment, they can become part of a special group of younger patients we have the privilege of watching grow. These visits allow us to keep an eye on their development and determine if—and when—orthodontic treatment would be beneficial.
It also gives kids a chance to get comfortable with our office and team, so if the day comes when they are ready for treatment, they’re already among familiar faces. We believe recommending treatment only when it’s truly needed is another important part of putting our patients first.
Part of the Community, Not Just Located in It
For decades, Lake County families have trusted OSOLC with their smiles, and being part of this community is something we’re incredibly proud of. We believe caring for a community means showing up for it.
That’s why our team looks for opportunities to support local organizations, give back, participate in community events, and be present beyond the walls of our offices. Our patients are our neighbors, friends, and families. We aren’t a corporate office, we are locally owned and operated and we know that makes a difference in your experience and your treatment. This is home for us, too.
Above and Beyond. It’s Who We Are.
